Liverpool based Renshaw, the leading manufacturer of marzipans and ready-to-roll icings, has expanded its portfolio of free-range alternatives with a new macaroon paste.
Macaroona is Renshaw's third free-range product - it has been producing free-range Blendesi, an albumen based marshmallow, and Renwhites, the purest form of albumen available, for more than two years. Tom Shaw, Renshaw's development manager, commented: “We are constantly reformulating our products using cleaner and more ethically sourced ingredients, whether it is with free-range eggs, non-hydrogenated fats or natural colours and flavours. As the demand for ethically sourced products increases and supermarkets such as Waitrose, roll out free-range policies, we will continue to expand our product offering.”
