Wine and spice

30/09/2010 | Channel: Drinks

After much research and travelling, Nasha has created a range of wines that have been specially created to compliment spicy foods, as well as being enjoyable to drink on their own.

The range of wines includes a fruity Shiraz, an aromatic Gamay Rose, and a lively Sauvignon Blanc. Some wines can be too acidic or too full bodied to be able to be drank easily with spicy foods, but Nasha wines enhance the flavour of spicy foods by letting the spices and herbs fuse with the aromatic essence of the wine, bringing a delightful and unforgettable addition to your dining experience. “As well as creating a quality wine specifically to accompany spicy foods, I also wanted to help some of the lesser developed areas of the world where some of our spicy food originates from,” said Balwinder Thukral, founder of Nasha. “A percentage of each bottle of wine sold is donated to Water Charities, and I have shown this on the collar of the bottle of wine too. Without water there would not be life, and some of the most deprived areas of water are in Asia.”
