The Spanish Chocolate Company was one of the selected British companies to attend the UK Trade & Investment's 'Taste of Britain II' mini-trade exhibition in March 2007, introducing some of the UK's finest food and beverage products to the Norwegian market
With the Scandinavian region's often sub-zero temperatures, The Spanish Chocolate Company director, Shafiq Shafi, said he was expecting a very favourable response from the Norwegian marketplace. 'There is also no other product like Spanish Chocolate currently available to Norwegians,' he said. 'Not only is it a super-thick, rich and creamy hot chocolate drink, the powder is also versatile enough to be made thicker and served as a dessert.' It should prove a winner!
This product was a big hit with the taste panel, which muniversally declared it delicious. Heating milk seemed a bit old fashioned, but the end result was well worth it: a creamy smooth, very thick, rich, chocolaty drink - a small serving was all that was required! Food Chain enlisted a new Spanish taster on this product, who was very pleased to confirm the product as authentic, as well as advise on consistency (this really is thick hot chocolate).
