Pomegreat is entering into the chilled juice sector
Pomegreat is entering into the chilled juice sector with the launch of Pomegreat 100, its first fresh tasting pomegranate juice blend. Available in eye catching 750ml Tetra Pak cartons, is a 100 per cent juice blend of the finest quality pomegranates balanced with a small quantity of grape juice for a perfect flavour. Pomegreat’s move into the chilled sector follows the phenomenal success of the brand’s ambient range which saw a 1000 per cent increase in sales in 2005 to take ownership of the pomegranate juice category.
Pomegreat creator Adam Pritchard of RJA Foods commented: "Pomegreat 100 is an exciting launch for Pomegreat and is testimony to the brand’s success. Sales of our ambient juice drink range, including the additions of Pomegreat & Blueberry and Pomegreat & Raspberry, have now reached one million litres a month."
The Food Chain taste test panel were surprised by the smoothness of the juice, although perhaps felt it lacked a certain kick. Nevertheless, the reviews were unanimously positive, especially when considering the health benefits of pomegranate juice. "I was expecting a sour taste, but this is mellow," was one comment. "I could drink this all day," was another.
